What is the EAW Kidz Intiative?

The first Eating as an Act of Worship Health and Fitness Class was held in the fall of 2012.  EAW Ministries became a nonprofit organization in 2014, but classes were still only provided for adults.  However, we're pleased to announce that the Eating as an Act of Worship Kidz Initiative Health and Fitness Classes began in the fall of 2016!  As with our adult classes, the EAW Kidz Initiative classes are FREE! There are NO REGISTRATION FEES OR MEMBERSHIP FEES!  Participants are only responsible for the cost of the Eating as an Act of Worship Workbook required for the class.

During the 12-week course, the children and their parents learn the Biblical principles regarding the body, dieting, exercising, and maintaining a healthy body for the glory of God.  Further, the families sample and keep FREE healthy foods and beverages. Moreover, the children get 2 FREE WORKOUT SESSIONS PER WEEK with a CERTIFIED PERSONAL TRAINER!

What is TEAM FIT?

Since it's inception in the fall of 2016, the EAW Kidz Intiative has been working in conjunction with The Pediatric Clinic located in the Springhill Medical Plaza at 3401 Springhill Drive, Suite 245 in North Little Rock, Arkansas.  Together, EAW Ministries and The Pediatric Clinic work in collaboration as TEAM FIT!  However, your child DOES NOT HAVE TO BE A PATIENT of the clinic to attend the EAW Kidz Initiative classes.

Team Fit meets EVERY TUESDAY AND THURSDAY EVENING at 6:00 pm CST.  The first 15 to 20 minutes is devoted to faith-based instruction for the children.   Each child receives a lesson for his or her age group to be completed prior to class.  After the class reviews the lesson, the children are dismissed for 40 to 45 minutes of exercise with the EAW certified personal trainer.  While the children exercise, the parents are taught the Biblical principles to help the child and the entire family develop better eating habits and achieve healthier lifestyle goals.  At the end of each session, the parents and children sample healthy food and beverage alternatives, and the children with completed lessons are allowed to choose their favorite foods and beverages to take home.
